Molded-In threads is an injection molding process in which internal or external, male or female, threads are integrated into the part. Products with multiple thread sizes, angles of pull, and luer threads can be produced.

Thread features are created by an unscrewing mold, collapsible cores, lifters, slides, or handloaded subinserts. At Exact, we have extensive experience, skills, knowledge, and advanced equipment to develop and produce an injection mold and production injection molding for your threaded plastic part.

With threads being common fasteners, integrating them into an injection molded part can produce additional benefits:

  • Reduced Part Price and Labor Costs
  • Reduced Part Weight
  • Assembly Advantages
  • Eliminates Secondary Operations
  • Design Flexibility
